About Eli
Eli Evankovich is a fourth-term Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives serving the people of the 54th District, which includes parts of northern Westmoreland and northern Allegheny counties. He serves on the Finance, Health, Insurance and Liquor Control committees, and as chairman of the Finance Select Subcommittee on Tax Modernization and Reform. He is also the founder and chairman of the Pennsylvania House Manufacturing Caucus.

Prior to joining the Legislature, Eli was a financial analyst at U.S. Steel Corporation, where he held various management roles with increasing responsibility. Given his work experience in the steel industry, as an owner of a small business, and a fourth-generation cattle farmer, Eli brings a unique perspective and wide array of experience to the Legislature. Eli tends to focus on big picture, incremental solutions.

Eli realizes the importance of how Pennsylvania’s government impacts the people of Pennsylvania, both personally and economically. He believes our state has unique advantages that should make it an ideal place for new and exciting economic growth, but understands that our policies are holding us back. Because of his private-sector experience in manufacturing, he has focused his efforts on how to make Pennsylvania a more friendly state to such an important sector of our economy in the hope of helping to unlock the Commonwealth’s potential and spark a manufacturing renaissance in our country.

His mission is to ensure that Pennsylvania is a better place to raise a family, have a job, conduct business and to ensure opportunity for the next generation.

Eli has introduced many important pieces of legislation based on three principles: government reform, fiscal responsibility and economic growth.
